I Have Trouble Remembering Things ...

We "lose" our car keys; we forget names of people we've just met; we can't remember why we walked into a room. Does this mean we're getting Dementia? Caring Touch ...

No matter one's age, human touch enhances communication by expressing emotion and offering reassurance. A crying baby elicits a predictable response from its parents or grandparents as it seeks to be soothed. As a child grows, reassurance comes by way of hugs, pats on the back, or a gentle shoulder rub. Touch is a fundamental part of human development.
