What's Operation KeepSafe iD™?
|
Dementia Society of America is proud to announce our commitment to providing no-charge Medical ID Kits to communities across the United States and Canada. Why? The primary issue is one of safety and peace-of-mind. Those that are living with Dementia may, from time-to-time, wish to go to work (after they long ago retired), or go home to see their mom
or dad who is waiting on them for dinner (but they have long since passed away).
Some folks call it wandering, but they are hardly ever "wandering." Instead, they want to get to a place that makes them feel a bit safer for a number of reasons, some of which we may never know or understand. The official terms is "elopement," and it can result in someone getting lost or disoriented just a few feet from their home, or traveling miles away on an Interstate.
The Dementia Society of America is ramping up its ID program for 2020, why not make it a reality in your hometown. Click "Learn More" below & send us a note to get more details about Operation KeepSafe™. You can also donate to help us keep loved ones safe. CLICK HERE TO DONATE.
